CALLING ALL UNDER 5s! (and your Mummies, Daddies and Carers…)

Come and make your very own Christmas Card on November 10th in the main concourse of The Glades / Intu Bromley. Use your handprint to make a fantastic Father Christmas or your tootsies to make ‘Mistle-toes’. We’ll ask your big person to pay £3.50 per card you make – every penny of which will go to Bromley and Croydon Women’s Aid.

On November 10th 2018, Altree Rose are hosting a day of charity Christmas Card making in the main concourse of The Glades Shopping Centre – Bromley, from 10am onwards.

The fundraising day is in aid of Bromley and Croydon Women’s Aid – a vital service in the Bromley area working tirelessly to end domestic abuse in the local community by providing refuge, outreach support and prevention services.

Almost one in five children in the UK are affected by domestic violence and over the past year BCWA have indirectly supported 700 children. These are the children of women using the services, who are very likely to be experiencing abuse and being exposed to abuse in the home. 136 children lived in BCWA refuges in 2017/18. These children benefit from the support of Child Support Officers funded by BBC Children in Need- they run the playrooms in the refuge, offer 1to1 support and after-school clubs as well as organising outings and trips during school holidays.

Under 5s can create a Christmas Card using their footprint or hand to make a unique design to give to your loved ones this festive season. There will be a choice of two designs: turn your little ones handprint into a fantastic Father Christmas or their footprint into, ‘Mistle-toes’. Baby safe non – toxic paint will be used and there will be lots of baby wipes and hand and feet washing stations, so don’t worry about the mess! Each hand-made card will cost £3.50 to make and take home with all proceeds going to Bromley and Croydon Women’s Aid. There will also be the option to have the cards printed and delivered at a later date – price tbc.

As well as Christmas Cards there will be face painting and a raffle with prizes including two tickets to the X Factor live show on Saturday November 17th plus prints from Diddi&Mo, vouchers for Flying Colours Pottery, goodies from The Baby Rack, a sweets hamper, candles, and beauty products and treatments. Raffle tickets will cost £2 each.
