Bromley & Croydon Women’s Aid is seeking to recruit a Training and Engagement Officer who is passionate about working to raise awareness of domestic abuse and provide training in the community. The post is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.
We are a well-established, innovative and forward thinking domestic abuse service based in South London and are seeking a self-motivated, flexible and experienced individual to join our dynamic team to help us deliver excellent services to vulnerable women and girls who have experienced domestic abuse and who is committed to working in a non-discriminatory manner.
The post holder will be required to increase referral pathways to the organisation’s services and facilitate earlier intervention by providing training and awareness courses to statutory, voluntary and private organisations. You must be able to demonstrate a good awareness and understanding of the effects of domestic abuse and specific knowledge in delivering training and awareness on domestic abuse.
The post holder must be able to provide relevant training or qualifications and you must be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. The person we are looking for will also have experience of administrative planning, awareness of current domestic violence legislation and good knowledge of the needs of women and children witnessing or experiencing domestic abuse.
The post will require home working initially, with access to hot-desking at our offices as needed. Flexible working is encouraged at BCWA, with a mix of home and location-based working across our friendly and supportive team. We are all women with families and lives and we understand that flexibility can be crucial in supporting women in the workplace.
Job Title: Training and Engagement Officer
Hours: Part time, 21 hours a week
Contract Type: FTC until 19th June 2025
Salary: £16,800.00 pa (FTE £28,000.00)
Location: Remote and hybrid between Bromley and Croydon
