The Refinery 29 runs Money Diaries, tackling what might be the last taboo facing modern working women: money.

We have adapted this idea and given a true description of what money a woman and her 3-year old daughter in refuge, with No Recourse to Public Funds, gets per week and what it is spent on.

We’ve asked her to be completely honest about how she spends money during a seven-day period – and we’re tracking every last penny.

Have a look at how her week looks like:You can help to ease the financial difficulties faced by a survivor after they have left their abusive relationship.

Here at Bromley and Croydon Women’s Aid we are running our #Xmasmeans campaign to source donations of topped up oyster cards and supermarket vouchers to support women to gain their independence back.
