We would like to thank the team of girls that yesterday won the First Give competition at Hayes Secondary School and raised £1,000 for Bromley & Croydon Women’s Aid.
The team visited our head office back in March, and were very much interested in learning more about domestic abuse and our organisation’s services. They then created a presentation and gave a talk to their class. They won their class vote and made it to yesterday’s final.
They made a powerful video to explain that domestic abuse can happen to anyone, even in Bromley and in their own school. They won against other 8 teams who were all very good and supporting other great charities. Well done to all the teams and big thanks to the school staff, to the judges and to First Give for this initiative.
But most importantly, thank you Edie, Georgia, Ellie, Lauren & Gemma for your hard work! As promised, every penny will be spent on children’s services in refuges and in schools.
